Welcome to the mystical land of Hedgenell, which is a realm full of wonder and amazement! "The Adventures of Fred and Hodges" will take you on an incredible journey of friendship and fun. Hodges, a wise old gnome, and Fred, a young chicken, full of childlike wonder who happens to have duck envy are an unlikely duo who become the best of friends! Join us as these two meet for the very first time in this introductory tale that proves that friendship may be found in the most unexpected places!

A small snippet from the beginning of the book ONE. "In a land far, far away, but a lot closer than you think, live creatures of lore and myth, with animals that speak and fairies that listen. All the faire-folk live there in peace and harmony, for the most part. Occasionally, there are arguments and scuffles. But through patience and guidance, they all get along.
In the valley of Hedgenell, there is a large mushroom. If you look closely, you can see there are many windows of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Living in this mushroom house is an old, patient gnome named Hodges.
